Turkey Tail Trametes versicolour – also known as Coriolus versicolor and Polyporus versicolour – is a common polypore mushroom found throughout the world. Owing to its shape being like that of a wild turkey’stail feathers, T. versicolor is most referred to as turkey tail.
Turkey tail mushrooms may boost the immune system, support gut health, and potentially aid in cancer treatment due to compounds like PSK and PSP. They are also rich in antioxidants, which fight inflammation, and prebiotics, which promote healthy gut bacteria.

When used as a cancer treatment alongside chemotherapy, side effects including nausea, vomiting, and loss of appetite have been reported). However, it’s unclear if those side effects were related to turkey tail mushroom or the conventional cancer treatments being used.
Another potential side effect of consuming turkey tail mushroom is the darkening of the fingernails.
While promising, more large-scale clinical trials are needed to confirm many of these benefits. Turkey tail is generally considered safe for most healthy people, but it's important to talk to a healthcare provider before using it, especially if you have a medical condition or are undergoing cancer treatment.

Delivery times are hard to estimate. Once we have posted your
item it is over to Australia Post.
At Gourmet Mushrooms Geelong, we take the best care to ensure you get the highest quality mushroom products. Due to the nature of the product, we sell - living mycelium - returns/exchanges are not accepted once you have received the product. Refunds are issued under limited circumstances only (read further below). There are many challenges with growing mushrooms, and failure to obtain high quality mushrooms does not constitute a faulty product.
If you believe your product is defective/faulty please get in touch. You can contact us at gourmetmushroomsgeelong@gmail.com, please provide as much information as possible (i.e. order number, the date the kit was activated, images of current condition of growing kit).
Damages and issues
Please inspect your order within 24 hours of receiving the goods, and contact us immediately if the item is damaged, missing items, or if you have received the wrong item.
Refunds/Replacements
Refunds/replacements are not issued for grow kits that have grown an unsatisfactory number of fungi, as the success of these products are highly subjective to individual environmental conditions.
Due to the nature of the product, refunds/replacements are not issued for grow kits that are not activated within 21 days of receiving the goods. Gourmet Mushrooms Geelong is not held responsible for the quality of the product if there is a delay to activating the product, thus creating a higher probability of the product exhibiting signs of a fault/defect due to the age and storage conditions of the product.
If however, if your Oyster Grow Kit has not begun to pin mushrooms within 21 days of receiving your kit, we then start the process of providing email support to investigate the reason(s) for no growth. If it is determined by us that the product is defective, we will either issue a replacement or process a refund (3-7 working days) via your original payment method (proof of purchase required).Cancellation of Orders
If you wish to cancel your order before it has shipped, please contact us as soon as possible. Once your order has shipped, our standard return policy will apply.
Exchanges
At this time, we do not offer direct exchanges. If you wish to exchange an item, please return the original item for a refund and place a new order for the desired product.
